A small space for reflection

Lodestar is a reflection project from Duckgu Studio. We use the symbolic language of astrology to offer approachable starting points: a theme, a question, and a little room to notice your own day. You do not need to fit a description to use a prompt. Your guide is Hamzzi, a chubby hamster who turns the symbols into plain words.

How the daily guides work

Public daily guide pages rotate twelve prepared themes by date and Sun sign. In the app, a signed-in reader explicitly requests a personal daily fortune, which Google Cloud Vertex AI creates for the selected birth profile and local date. Neither is a prediction based on live planetary positions.

English daily readings use the America/New_York calendar date, Japanese readings use Asia/Tokyo and Korean readings use Asia/Seoul, so around midnight the versions can show different dates. Birth charts instead use the entered local birth date, time and historical time-zone rules.

The website’s longer article prompts and examples are editorial additions. They are not personalized readings and do not imply that a sign determines someone’s personality.
