Where two paths meet
The Moon's orbit is tilted relative to Earth's path around the Sun. It crosses that plane at two opposite points called the lunar nodes. There is no planet sitting at either point.
Why eclipses come up
An eclipse can happen when the Sun, Moon, and Earth line up near a node. The tilt is why an eclipse does not happen every month. A node marked in your birth chart is not a warning about future events.
More than one symbolic reading
Some modern astrologers use the North Node as a prompt about learning something new and the South Node about familiar habits. Other traditions read the pair differently. Neither point assigns you a destiny.

Do the nodes tell me my future?
No. They mark calculated sky positions. Astrological meanings vary, and the points cannot establish what will happen to you.
